My Inspiration to Start My Own Catering Business

My journey began when I was just 10 years old. One of my favorite shows was SpongeBob SquarePants, and I was especially fascinated by episodes where SpongeBob worked as a fry cook at the Krusty Krab. Watching him make burgers sparked my initial interest in the food industry and inspired me to consider a future working as a fry cook at a restaurant like Wendy’s.

Over time, my passion evolved. During elementary and high school, I attended culinary courses that introduced me to food preparation and sparked a deeper appreciation for creating meals from scratch. I also noticed how many people spend so much money on fast food because it’s quick and cheap, compared to the time and cost of preparing fresh, nutritious meals at home. This observation motivated me to find a way to make good-quality, wholesome meals accessible and affordable.

Originally, I thought about starting a fast-food business similar to the Krusty Krab, but after finishing high school and attending Liaison College, I enrolled in a business course program and created my first business plan. Through this process, I realized that I could make a bigger impact by starting a catering business—preparing fresh meals and baked goods, and delivering them directly to people’s locations. This approach allowed me to combine my love for cooking with my desire to provide fresh, convenient, and delicious food to those with busy lifestyles.
